Polyester (PET) felt black
PET felt sheets are panels made from recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and are often used for acoustic and decorative applications. The sheets are lightweight, flame retardant, and have acoustic properties
Applications
The applications for PET felt include sound insulation, decorative elements, (trade show) displays, and high-end packaging.
Design Considerations
The cut edge of PET felt is harder than the material due to the melted fibers. Line engravings are possible but almost invisible. However, engraving lines can be used to make the material more flexible/hinged. Surface engravings are not possible due to melting.
Laser Cutting
The cut is neat, clean, and the same color as the material. Line engravings have the same color as the material.The (slightly) melted edges are somewhat smooth.

Post-processing
PET felt does not require post-processing. There are no visible marks from the cutting process on the material.
Appearance
The material is delivered without protective film. The sheets are smooth, fibrous, and completely black.
