Double-sided oak-veneered MDF

What is this material?Double-sided veneered oak has a brown HDF core with natural oak veneer on both sides. The front side is the main visible side; the other side is also finished with oak veneer and suitable to remain visible.

What is it suitable for?This version is suitable for displays, interior panels, decorative components, models, and design objects where both sides are visible. The oak top layers give the panel a natural wood look with the uniform core of a fiberboard.

When designing.Oak veneer is a natural product: grain, pattern, and color vary per panel and sometimes within a single panel. For fine parts, consider the thin veneer layer and design fittings based on the actual panel thickness. Indicate an important grain direction in advance.

For laser cutting and engraving.The cut edge and engravings will be dark brown to black. Smoke stains may appear around cuts and engravings on both visible sides; protective film can reduce this. Due to the dark cut edge, the brown HDF core at the edge is less noticeable.

Finishing and maintenance.The oak veneer can be carefully sanded and then varnished or oiled. Work cautiously, as the natural top layer is thin. Use the panel indoors and avoid prolonged contact with moisture.
