Nesting arranges parts to use as little sheet material as practical. You can let the portal calculate copies of one design or arrange different shapes yourself. The most economical approach depends on the shapes, quantity and material.
Ordering copies of one design
Upload the part or set and enter the required quantity. The portal calculates repetition, material use and price. You do not need to draw a sheet full of copies.
Arranging different shapes yourself
For different parts that fit into one another's open spaces, your own compact layout can save material. Use the available sheet dimensions for the selected product. There is no universal sheet size.
Keep at least 5 mm around the sheet edges and between separate parts. Do not add an outer frame unless you want it cut.
Use open spaces without overlapping paths
Small parts may fit inside openings in larger parts. Remove duplicate paths and consider fine details and narrow bridges. Rotating wooden parts also changes their visible grain direction.
Compare the actual price
If unsure, upload both valid versions: a part or set with the required quantity, and your own sheet layout. Check dimensions, recognised paths and material before comparing prices.
