Products and parts
Packaging and inlays
Laser-cut packaging parts, presentation layers, and foam inlays that protect, organize, or present products.

Protect, organize, and present
An inlay holds products in place; packaging adds protection, presentation and logistics to this. We cut the flat components from foam, cardboard and plywood, among other materials, based on product dimensions or a suitable drawing.
What can you have made?
The correct structure depends on product weight, fragility, frequency of use, and shipping method.

Foam inlays
Precisely cut-outs for protection and overview.

Presentation boxes
A wooden exterior with a matching interior for product or gift.

Cardboard product carriers
Lightweight, flat-packable molds for multiple products.

Layered packaging
Multiple cutting layers that together build depth, fit, and presentation.
Materials that often fit well
These are logical starting points, not strict rules. Compare the properties and available thicknesses with the function of your design.
Cardboard and paper
For light packaging layers, presentation parts, and prototypes that are easy to process.

View materials →What determines the construction of an inlay
Carefully measure the product and first determine whether the packaging should primarily protect, organize, present, or ship.
Product dimensions
Work from reliable product dimensions or contours and determine how much play is needed to comfortably insert and remove the product.
Protect, organize, or present
The function determines material, layer structure, and fit. A presentation layer requires different choices than an inlay for transport protection.
First fit
When using a new inlay or packaging, first test one version with the actual product before ordering a larger quantity.
Packaging and shipping
Labeling, bundling, white labeling or a different shipping method will be agreed upon in advance if you require more than loose laser-cut parts.
This is what that looked like in practice
Work actually produced by Het Laser Lokaal, with our role and material choices described as concretely as possible.

Foam inlay for a corporate gift
For Evoke, Het Laser Lokaal laser-cut a custom inlay from 5 and 20 mm hard foam for Evoke, glued together to 25 mm because that thickness was not available.
