What makes or breaks a good building kit
Test the joint
The actual sheet thickness and laser kerf determine how a tab fits into a slot. Start with a small test joint in the same material and thickness.
Make the parts easy to identify
Engraved numbers help with picking and assembly. Want to keep the parts in the sheet? Add small retaining tabs to your drawing and test that the parts release cleanly.
Arrange different parts efficiently
Place different parts compactly together with sufficient space between them. Draw a shared boundary, such as between two puzzle pieces, only once. For multiple copies of the same design, enter the quantity in the portal.
Think about unpacking
Decide which parts belong together and which sides will be visible. Separate bundling or labelling can be arranged on request.
