From design to production

Our approach

We cut the shapes, slots and openings out of birch plywood and add engraved markings where necessary. This creates a complete set of parts for each design that is ready for further processing by Zappie.

Birch plywood for building

We make parts for Zappie's construction kits that must be able to withstand an enthusiastic young maker. Birch plywood gives the small constructions strength and at the same time retains the natural appearance of wood.

Slots, holes and outer shapes are cut as a complete set. Where a kit requires markings or details, we add these as line engraving in the same production run.

From one good design to new sets

Because each version is made from a fixed production file, Zappie can easily have the same parts produced again later.
