Designs for Scale and Assembly
Convert the scale
Supply the drawing at the size at which the parts should be cut. After scaling down, check narrow posts, window openings and other fine details in particular.
Choose a thickness for each part
Facades, floors and base plates do not have to be the same thickness. Allow for actual sheet thickness at the joints.
Plan the assembly
Divide the model into layers or wall sections that remain accessible after cutting. Markings help distinguish similar parts.
Test a difficult detail
A small test piece containing the finest openings and a joint tells you more than a large overall model alone.
