Choices for a usable display
Test with the actual product
Allow for the product's size and weight when designing cutouts and supports. Use a prototype to check that the display stays stable when loaded.
Make assembly straightforward
Slot-together joints allow flat shipping. Test the fit and make the assembly sequence clear, even to someone seeing the display for the first time.
Choose the visible side
Decide which side faces the customer. Wood grain, mirrored surfaces and matt or gloss finishes may differ between sides.
Replace only what changes
Design a separate information panel or interchangeable product holder if the contents change regularly. You can then reorder just those parts.
