(Silicone) rubber is a versatile material that can be used for various purposes. A popular technique used to work rubber is laser cutting and engraving. This technique provides accurate results and makes it possible to create complex designs and shapes.

    Silicone rubber laser cutting

Rubber laser cutting is a process in which a laser beam is used to cut through rubber. The laser beam evaporates the rubber on its path and creates a clean and precise cut. This makes it possible to produce detailed designs and shapes without the risk of fraying or damaging the material.

Besides cutting rubber, the laser beam can also be used to engrave in the rubber. This process is often used to make stamps. Stamps are useful tools used in craft projects, art prints and even in industry. With laser cutting and engraving, stamps can be made with complex designs and fine details.

A popular type of rubber to cut is silicone rubber, this material has many advantages such as flexibility, durability, food safety and resistance to high temperatures/flammatory. These properties make it ideal for making flexible parts that need to last a long time. The material is also available in different thicknesses and colours.

Another type of rubber specially developed for stamping is laser rubber, this material is slightly stiffer and well suited to produce stamps with precise and detailed designs.

We supply standard transparent and red silicone rubber in 1mm and 2mm, and laser rubber. We can also supply blue and black silicone rubber and other thicknesses on request.

Silicone rubber is normally supplied on rolls, making objects up to 250x120cm possible on our largest machine.

Areas of application laser cut rubber

For example, rubber is used in the food industry, pharmaceutical industry and medical industry for seals, gaskets, labels and flanges. Rubber is also used in shipbuilding and mechanical engineering. In addition, rubber parts are made for food processors, machine builders, device builders, energy technology and the medical industry using laser cutting techniques.

Rubber laser cutting and engraving offers numerous possibilities for different industries. Whether it's about making seals, stamps or other rubber products, the precision of laser cutting enables customization and repeatable production.
