Linde plywood

What is this material? Lime plywood is a light sheet material with a fine grain and a smooth, light yellow to cream-colored surface. It combines low weight with a neat wood appearance and is softer than birch plywood.

What is it suitable for? A good choice for models, kits, typography, packaging, decorative objects, and interior decoration where a light color, fine engraving, and easy manual finishing are desired.

When designing. The soft surface can scratch or dent more easily with intensive use. Thin and narrow parts can break when bent or bumped. For fitted parts, consider the actual sheet thickness.

For laser cutting and engraving. The cutting edge and engravings turn dark brown and generally do not rub off. More smoke residue may be visible on the underside. Protective film does not reliably adhere to this material and is therefore not used by default.

Finishing and maintenance. Lime plywood is easy to sand, glue, paint, varnish, and oil. A transparent finish deepens the warm wood color. Store and use the material dry; sunlight can change its color over time.
