Acrylic Tinted

What is this material?Tinted acrylic is a clear plastic with a colour tone. You can see through the material, while the chosen tint changes the light and the appearance of the design.

What is it suitable for?Suitable for display cases, displays, coloured windows, decorative panels, nameplates, and models where transparency and colour are desired.

When designing.When fitting parts and finger joints, take into account the thickness tolerance. Long, narrow, or very thin parts are relatively fragile and can deform slightly due to the heat of cutting.

When laser cutting and engraving.The laser creates a clean cut edge in the colour of the material. Line engraving and area engraving will have a lighter, matte appearance and are therefore visible on the glossy surface.

Finishing and maintenance.The sheets have protective film on both sides. For area engraving, the film on the top side is removed, and slight smoke marks may appear. Clean the surface with a soft cloth and a mild agent suitable for acrylic.

Further finishing yourself.You can further process or glue acrylic yourself after cutting. Take into account tension in the cutting edge: small cracks may appear during post-processing. Therefore, try the chosen processing on a scrap piece first.
