Laser rubber grey

What is this material? Laser rubber is a dark grey rubber sheet specially developed for laser cutting and deep engraving. The material remains flexible and, when engraved, produces a light grey relief with clear contrast.

What is it suitable for? The main application is making stamp plates. In addition, it can be used for relief, texture plates, bumper strips, and simple sealing molds with limited mechanical stress.

When designing. Create a stamp design mirrored and in negative: the parts that are to print must remain. Avoid very thin bridges and sharp internal corners when the part is bent or subjected to tensile stress.

When laser cutting and engraving. Laser rubber can be precisely cut and deep engraved. The engraving turns light grey and contrasts with the dark surface. Some dust or residue may remain in deep engravings, but the cutting edge generally does not retain visible residue.

Finishing and maintenance. Remaining dust can be removed with a wet brush. The rubber can be trimmed with a sharp knife and attached to a carrier with a suitable contact adhesive. Check resistance to oil, solvents, and intensive wear per application.
