Polyester (PET-G) sheets, also known under the brand name Vivak, is a strong yet flexible plastic. The plastic is completely transparent and very impact-resistant. The material is flexible but can be bent to permanently take on a certain angle.
Applications
PET-G is used for many different applications such as displays, poster protection, protective covers, and showcases.
Design Considerations
Polyester has a clean, polished cut. Line engravings are possible but not very visible, complex line engravings are not recommended. Surface engravings are not possible due to melting. Additionally, polyester in thin or long strips is relatively brittle and sensitive to warping due to the heat released during cutting, keep this in mind in the design.
Laser Cutting
Polyester has paper protective film on both sides, ensuring the sheets are fully protected before, during, and after cutting. The cut is sharp, clean, and the same color as the material. Line engravings are the same color as the material.

Post-processing
In principle, PET-G does not require post-processing due to the high quality of the material. The processing possibilities of polyester sheets include sawing, drilling, milling, bending, and vacuum forming.
Appearance
The material has protective film on both the front and back sides. The material is prone to scratches without the protective film.
