Small errors in openings, mounting points or assembly order can make an enclosure panel unusable. Design around actual components and their fixing points.
Use the component drawings
Check more than the outside size of a switch, connector or display. Include the installation opening, flange, mounting holes, cable space, bend radius and insertion direction.
Measure from a fixed reference
Locate holes and openings from one edge or origin. After export and upload, check a known overall dimension and critical hole spacing.
Separate cutting and marking
Contours, holes and slots are cut. Text and symbols can be line or area engraved. Convert text to outlines and assign operations by colour after upload.
Choose material for the construction
Stiffness, weight, edge appearance and behaviour around fixings differ between materials. Keep enough material around holes and narrow sections. Check the selected product's properties and thicknesses.
Try a panel or critical section
Produce one panel or a small strip containing the important openings. Fit the actual components and check access, cable space, readable labels and assembly order before ordering a run.
