Multi-part paint stencils for MooieMuur

For MooieMuur, Het Laser Lokaal made spray stencils from multiple MDF parts. Dividing a large design keeps the individual stencils manageable. For more intensive and long-term use, we can also cut similar stencils from PETG.

From design to production

Our approach

The design is divided into multiple flat template parts and cut from MDF. The cut-outs together form the complete image when the parts are used in the correct position. If a mold is used more frequently or under harsher conditions, PETG is a more robust alternative.

What it achieved

The result

A manageable set of spray stencils that allows a larger design to be applied in sections.

A large image, divided into workable parts

For BeautifulMuur we divided a large design over several spraying templates. The individual parts therefore remain manageable and together form the complete image on the wall.

This version is made of MDF. For a stencil that is used more often, must be able to withstand moisture or must be easily cleaned, PETG can be a more sustainable alternative.

The use determines the material

One-time application requires something different than daily reuse. By considering size, surface and frequency of use in advance, the same design can be made in a material that suits it.
