From design to production

Our approach

Ruimtetijd developed the spatial concept. We translated the supplied shapes to carefully cut parts of poplar plywood, ready to be further assembled and finished.

What it achieved

The result

A series of light, cleanly cut wooden parts that formed the basis for a striking installation in the museum.

Flat parts for a spatial decor

A striking museum installation often starts with parts that are surprisingly simple separately. For this project we cut the shapes from poplar plywood: lightweight, comfortable to process and suitable for the scale of the decor.

The precise contours gave Space Time a reliable basis for the further construction. For example, loose wooden parts grew into one spatial installation in Stedelijk Museum Schiedam.

Space for the concept

Our production was in line with the design of Space Time. By consistently performing the cutting, shape, decoration and presentation could then be freely assembled without the need to recreate the base per part.
