Ping-Pong Art Installation

For an interactive installation by Julia Janssen, we laser-cut the fluorescent blue acrylic shelves in which almost 10,000 ping-pong balls together form an impressive picture.

From design to production

Our approach

Based on Julia's design, we cut the racks out of 3 mm fluorescent blue acrylic. The size and repetition had to be exactly right to hold all the ping-pong balls in place.

What it achieved

The result

A colorful grid that brings the thousands of loose balls together into one interactive art installation.
