Clear extruded acrylic (XT)

What is this material?Extruded transparent acrylic is a clear, hard plastic with a tight thickness tolerance. The material is particularly suitable for precise transparent components.

What is it suitable for?Think of displays, panels, shields, models, building kits, and precise components where transparency and dimensional stability are important.

When designing.When fitting parts and finger joints, take the thickness tolerance into account. Long, narrow, or very thin parts are relatively fragile and can slightly deform due to the heat of cutting.

For laser cutting and engraving.Laser cutting creates a clean, clear cutting edge. Line engraving becomes lightly visible. We do not offer surface engraving on this XT acrylic due to the stress in the material.

Finishing and maintenance.The sheets have protective film on both sides. Without the film, the surface is scratch-sensitive. We do not recommend post-processing with this version: gluing and incorrect cleaning agents can cause small cracks.
