Acrylic engravings do not have the same contrast on every colour or finish. Material, surface and operation determine visibility. Decide first whether you want a subtle line or a filled shape.
An outline logo or a filled logo?
Line engraving follows the vector path. Area engraving fills a closed shape and often appears more prominent. View fine text at its actual size. Read the comparison of the three laser operations.
Clear, dark or matte acrylic
Background and lighting affect clear material. A dark surface can give different contrast from a light sheet. Cast and extruded variants also engrave differently. Use the properties and offered operations of the actual product.
Mirror acrylic: design for the front face
The reflective side is the front. Draw text and logos as you want to read them from that side. You do not need to mirror the file yourself before upload. Suitable engraving operations depend on the chosen mirror sheet.

Prepare an engraving file
Convert text to outlines. Use closed vector shapes with a line colour for area engraving, and remove duplicate paths and overlapping engraving shapes. Assign operations after upload and inspect the internal openings of letters and logos.
Assess the physical result
A sample helps with colour and surface. To assess a small logo or contrast, produce that engraving as a trial. View it against the background and lighting of the intended use.
