The side in which you see the reflection is the front of mirror acrylic. Draw letters, logos and patterns as you want to see them from that face. You do not need to mirror the file yourself before uploading.
Cut shapes and text in one design
A cut-out letter should read correctly from the front. The same applies to a logo on a sheet: keep the intended reading direction in the source. An extra reversal can produce the wrong result.
If parts will be viewed from both sides, remember that the back is not a second identical mirror face. Check the product construction before drawing the assembly.
Preparing an engraving
Use separate line colours for cutting and engraving, and convert text to outlines. Area engraving needs closed shapes. Select only the operations available for the chosen mirror product.
The appropriate process and engraving side depend on the variant. A mirrored surface behaves differently from clear or opaque acrylic. Read more about engraving acrylic.
Reflection is part of the appearance
A small sample on a table may appear different from a large panel on a wall. View the material in the light and against the background of its final use. A trial part is especially useful for text and fine details.
Compare mirror variants in the acrylic collection. For unusual uses, clearly identify the face that should remain visible.
