The result
From urban design to repeatable product
The skylines from Kunst in Kaart are available for almost sixty Dutch and Belgian cities. The collection consists of sizes 70 × 14 cm and 100 × 20 cm and is offered in five material finishes.
For production, this means working with many combinations of city, size, and material. We repeatedly laser-cut the skylines in, among other materials, birch plywood, bamboo, black MDF, and white MDF. The orders can then be shipped directly to the end customer under the Kunst in Kaart name.
Series production with room for variations
This collaboration shows that series production doesn't always have to be one identical part. A product family can consist of many designs and material choices, as long as files and variants are well organized.
