Laser-cut parts give a Christmas package its own shape without the need for each package to be completely customized. Think of a wooden label, an engraved card, a product-specific inlay or parts for a presentation box.
Choose one part that makes the package recognizable
A name label, ornament or engraved panel can be enough to make standard packaging fit a brand or campaign. For larger quantities, a fixed design with changing names or numbers is often more practical than a completely different construction for each package.
Determine early which information is fixed and which changes per recipient. A company logo can be part of one production file, while names, numbers or short messages require error-free data linking. Therefore, discuss personalization in advance instead of supplying dozens of variants as separate standard orders.
Packaging and inlay around the product
For a fragile or special gift, a foam inlay can be drawn around the product. A wooden or cardboard exterior ensures presentation. The outer size, product contour and desired depth must be checked together in the design.
Measure the real product at the height where it lies in the inlay. Add gripping space and test whether the gift stays securely enough without being difficult to remove. With a box consisting of multiple flat parts, material thickness and connections determine whether the box closes neatly.
Start testing on time
Seasonal work requires clear planning. First make a test copy if the fitting, engraving or packaging has not been produced before. You can see the current production and delivery options in the portal when ordering.
Check the complete trial: product, insert, outer packaging and any card or tag. Then confirm quantities and variants. A late change to product size or engraved text affects the whole run and cannot be solved by changing only the exterior.
Engraving an existing gift
To engrave an existing product rather than make a part from sheet material, we assess material, shape, dimensions and engraving position first. Send a photo and product details so we can assess the options.
A concrete example is the promotional gift box with foam inlay. There, 3 mm plywood forms the engraved exterior and a custom-cut hard foam inlay keeps the statue in place. The case shows that presentation and protection each require their own material and design decision.
Before the series, also record who fills, checks and sends the packages. That logistics role is not automatically part of the laser cutting work.
