What is this material?Black/white engraving sheet is a thin, opaque plastic sheet with a matte black top layer and a white base layer. During engraving, the black layer is locally removed, making text and images clearly visible in white.

What is it suitable for?The clear black-and-white contrast is suitable for nameplates, labels, pictograms, signage, and front panels where readability and a calm, matte appearance are key.

When designing.Use sufficient line thickness and font size for a legible result. The two-layer structure is intended for flat contrast engravings, not for deep relief or 3D engravings. The thin material is not a load-bearing structural component.

When laser cutting and engraving.Laser cutting provides a clean edge. With flat and line engraving, the white base layer appears, creating immediate contrast. The engraving may still contain loose residue after processing, which must be carefully removed.

Finishing and maintenance.Clean the surface with a soft cloth and a mild agent. Test solvents and adhesion on a scrap piece first to prevent discolouration or damage. For outdoor use, check if the mounting, exposure, and maintenance are suitable for the application.
