Fluorescent acrylic

What is this material?Fluorescent acrylic is a colored, translucent plastic. The striking difference from ordinary tinted acrylic is that the edges and engravings appear to glow. Lighting from the side enhances this effect.

What is it suitable for?A good choice for eye-catching displays, nameplates, models, decorative parts, and designs where light or a bright color plays an important role.

When designing.When designing matching parts and finger joints, take into account the thickness tolerance. Long, narrow, or very thin parts are relatively fragile and can deform slightly due to the heat of cutting.

For laser cutting and engraving.Laser cutting produces a clean cut edge in the color of the material. Line and surface engravings become lighter and catch the light, making them stand out clearly against the surface.

Finishing and maintenance.The sheets have protective film. For surface engraving, the film on the top side must be removed, which may cause light smoke traces. Remove dirt with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent.

Further finishing yourself.You can further process or glue acrylic yourself after cutting. Be aware of tension in the cut edge: small cracks may occur during post-processing. Therefore, try the chosen processing method on a scrap piece first.
